I’m partly retired from my daily business life. I’m living in Turku Archipelago, Finland. Today I try to engage more time to my dear hobbies photography and sailing.  

I sailed my boat towards more southern latitudes. Based today in Tenerife, Canaries. I wish I can give you a lot interesting photo’s from my sailing journeys.Atlantic Navigator is built with extreme care to withstand every weather condition we meet. It is still a very small boat in the Atlantic ocean. We must take care of good planning when and where to sail. This summer we have plans for a few sailing trips to La Palma and Fuerteventura.

We are always waiting with excitement to sail in the wind acceleration zones between the islands. It is always fun, but the wind can easily come up to 50 knots or so. Then you must be very precautions not to break the boat down.

Lot of service work last year no sailing because of the lock down.

My equipment:

I still have my Nikon 700 and Nikkor lenses as a workhorse. Today I use it less because of its weight. I’m an old bloke.

I lost my dear Fuji X Pro1 and 35 mm 1,4 lens. Life is crude.

I´m back to Leica where it all started a long time ago.

I´m eager to use this new Leica T camera. I already got a ring for using my old M 39 Summicron 50 mm lens from my father.

Almost never using a tripod or monopod, although light posts and fences quite often.

My interests in the photography are still the same: sea, waterways, coastal gardens, landscapes where the sea meets the land.  

My roots are partly from Carelia from the peninsula where Vyborg is situated. I have lived most of my life in Helsinki and summers in Veikkola. The love to the sea has become from a very young boy, sailing with his dinghy around the islands in Helsinki. Today my harbor in the sun is Stormälö island in the archipelago of Turku.
