Summer Solstice in Finland – Fiesta Grande Finlandesa – Mittsommerfest in Finland

Photos taken from various places in the archipelago of Turku, Finland and Saaremaa, Estonia. Blooming nature, presence of the sea, bonfires, good food and atmosphere. The midsummer  eve turns into the most spectacular and thrilling night. The light of the night is something you can´t describe.

These tree works are from my late period working with high-speed Kodak films 800 – 1600 ASA. My affection to granular results with low light conditions is seen clearly in these works. Print work was done to heavyweight art canvas. I made these Photographs in year 2000  to Power of Color photo exhibition.
